A lot of countries have enforced the ISPM-15 requirements on wood packaging material.
These are the International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures / Guidelines for regulating wood packaging material in International Trade
made up by the Secretariat of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) as part of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.

The purpose of the IPPC is to secure common and effective action to reduce the risk of introduction or spread of quarantine pests associated
with packaging material made of raw wood, including dunnage, in use in international trade and to promote appropriate measures for their control.

Pasec Port has been officially recognised by the Belgian Ministry of Agriculture, department FAVV, to sell specially treated wood that complies with the requirements for ISPM 15. We are registered under the number 55664.

Each piece of wood must be marked in a visible location with an approved and permanent mark that indicates that it meets the requirements.
The wood must be debarked and subject to a specific quarantine treatment, such as heat treatment or fumigation.

Since fumigation is not allowed anymore in the European Union as from March 2010 we apply heat treatment, which is, contrary to fumigation, not harmful for health or environment.

We keep a large stock of the most commonly used wood, debarked, heat treated and marked, according to ISPM15. For larger quantities or special dimensions, terms and delivery have to be agreed on.

We are always at your disposal for any advice or assistance.
